Australian Consumer Rights Statement

Southern Brisbane Locksmiths operates in compliance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which is contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). This statement summarises your rights as a consumer of our goods and services.

Consumer guarantees

When you buy goods or services from us, you automatically receive a set of consumer guarantees under the ACL. These guarantees cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by any term of our agreement with you.

Guarantees that apply to goods

• Goods are of acceptable quality — they are safe, durable, free from defects, acceptable in appearance and finish, and do what they are ordinarily meant to do.
• Goods are fit for any particular purpose you made known to us.
• Goods match their description and any sample or demonstration model.
• We have the right to transfer ownership to you, free of any undisclosed security interest.

Guarantees that apply to services

• Services are rendered with due care and skill.
• Services are fit for any particular purpose you made known to us.
• Services are supplied within a reasonable time, where no time is agreed.

What happens if a guarantee is not met

If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have us repair, replace or re-perform the service, or supply equivalent goods. If we cannot do so within a reasonable time, you may choose a refund or replacement.

If the failure amounts to a major failure, you are entitled to reject the goods or services and choose a refund or replacement, or to keep the goods or services and obtain compensation for any drop in value.

How to seek a remedy

Please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. We will assess your concern and respond in accordance with your rights under the ACL.
